SSC CHSL 2023 Marking Scheme
Lakhs of undergraduates appear for prestigious posts of the clerical level which are filled through the SSC CHSL exam. As per the official Notification of SSC CHSL 2023, the exact SSC CHSL exam date is out and the exam will be conducted from 2nd August to 17th August 2023. SSC CHSL Exam Pattern For Tier 1
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 is the first step towards success where candidates will be appearing for 100 questions competing against lakhs of candidates. As per the Latest SSC CHSL Exam Pattern, Candidates will be given 100 questions from 4 subjects; General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension to be attempted in 60 minutes. - There is a negative marking in SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam. Giving a wrong answer to a question will lead to a penalty of 0.5 marks in all sections

SSC CHSL Syllabus for General Awareness
Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy, and scientific research.

The Staff Selection Commission surprised candidates by doing massive changes in the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam pattern. Earlier the Tier 2 exam used to be conducted in descriptive mode and also there used to be a Tier 3 exam but as per the SSC CHSL 2023 Notification, There are only Two Tiers now i.e. Tier 1 & Tier 2. SSC CHSL Syllabus for General Awareness
Questions are designed to test the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around them and its application to society. SSC CHSL Syllabus 2023: Computer Knowledge
Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), input/ output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back- up devices, PORTs, Windows Explorer, and Keyboard shortcuts.
Software: Windows Operating system including basics of Microsoft Office like MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.
Working with the Internet and e-mails: Web Browsing & Searching, Downloading & Uploading, Managing an E-mail Account, e-Banking.
Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojans, etc.), and preventive measures.
Skill test for Data Entry Operator
In this test, a candidate must have a data entry speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour. The duration of the Test will be 15 minutes and an English document having about 2000-2200 strokes/key depressions will be given to type.
The Skill Test will be conducted for Data Entry Operators only. The typing test will be conducted for other posts i.e. LDC/ JSA.
For Skill Test:
- Module II of Section III will include Skill Test/ Typing Test in Session II on the same day.
- Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
- Errors in the Skill Test will be calculated up to 2 decimal places.
- Skill Test is mandatory for Data Entry Operators. No candidate is exempted from appearing in the Skill Test.
For Typing Test:
- The medium of Typing Test will be Hindi or English.
- The candidates will have to opt for the medium of Typing Test i.e. either Hindi or English in the online Application Form.
- The choice of Typing Test during the application form will be final. There will be no change in the medium of Typing Test.
- Candidates opting for English medium should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.)
- The candidates opting for Hindi medium should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute (w.p.m.)
- The speed will be adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes.
