Andhra Pradesh school reopening date 2021 announced, classes to begin on Aug 16 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh education minister Adimulapu Suresh said on Wednesday that the government has decided to reopen schools for classes 1 to 12 on August 16, 2021. The decision was taken in the review meeting held by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The government has distributed workbooks to the students. Online classes for students in the state will commence from July 12 and teachers will be given training on workbooks from July 15 to August 15.

From July 1, the teachers have started attending school on an alternate day basis.

Also, the government has allowed the students to visit teachers once a week to clarify their doubts.

The government is focusing on vaccinating all teachers by August 15.

Meanwhile, the education minister released the inter-final year marks assessment criteria. According to the criteria, inter students will be awarded marks based on 30 percent of their performance in SSC, 70 percent based on their performance in the inter-first year, and practical results.

The assessment criteria are as follows:

  • 30% marks based on the marks obtained for the top 3 subjects in class 10
  • 70% marks for Subject Wise marks in the first year of Intermediate
  • Practicals: Marks based on their results as practical tests are completed
