RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION
[ RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF "GRAM ROJGAR
SEVAK" (ON PURELY CONTRACT BASIS) ]
In pursuance of the Order No.
5221-RD/O/NREGA/18S-03/09(Pt-II) dt.-18.10.2017 of the Commissioner P&RD
Department, Government of West Bengal and Order No. 845/1-19 dt.-28.08.2020 of
the District Nodal Officer, MGNREGS, Malda, fresh applications are hereby
invited from eligible candidates for the selection of ONE (01) Gram Rojgar
Sevak for Maharajpur Gram Panchayat of this Block under WB-MGNREGS on purely
contract basis for one year. The applications will be received during the
period starting from 04.01.2021 to
27.01.2021 up to 05.00 PM
(excluding government holidays).
1. No. of Post :- 01 (ONE)
2. Place of posting :- Maharajpur Gram Panchayat Office, Maharajpur,
Pukhuria, Malda.
3. Educational Qualification :-
a) Higher Secondary Examination passed in the Science/ Vocational
Stream with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and at least 55%
marks in Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination from any
recognized Board/ Council.
And
b) Training on Computer Applications, at least a course
completed for six months of duration from a recognized institution.
4. Age :- Not less than 18 (Eighteen) years of age and not more than
35 (Thirty Five) years of age as on 01.01.2021.
5. Residential Status :- The candidates must be permanent resident and voter
of Ratua - II Development Block area.
6. Remuneration :- The Gram Rojgar Sevak will get a consolidated
monthly remuneration of Rs. 12000/- (Twelve
thousand only).
7. Method of Application :-
Candidates may apply in the attached prescribed format with
self-attested photocopies of :-
a) Mark sheet of Higher Secondary/equivalent Examination,
b) Certificate/Admit of Madhyamik or 10th Standard or
equivalent examination as age proof,
c) Certificate of Computer knowledge,
d) Voter Id/ EPIC,
e) Residential proof,
f) Physical fitness certificate duly signed by an authorized
Medical Practitioner., through registered post to— "The Block Development
Officer Ratua-II Development Block,
Vill.+P.0 - Pukhuria P.S - Pukhuria,
Dist - Malda, Pin - 732204 " or may
"drop in the drop_ box kept in the office of the Block Development
Officer, Ratua - II Development Block, Pukhuria, Malda" during office
hours on working days.
Candidates must submit the application form along with the
s(Af atte‘offl photocopies of testimonials in a sealed envelope. In the outer
front page of the sealed envelope candidate must clearly write
"Application for the post of Gram
Rojgar Sevak". "Application fees is Nil for applying for the
post". Candidates can download the

8. Method of Selection :-
(a) Gram Rojgar Sevak will be selected strictly based on
merit, If more than one candidate secures the same aggregate, marks obtained in
Physics and Mathematics combined will be computed and the candidate securing
higher marks in that category will be considered. In case of vocational steam
courses, if physics and mathematics are studied as compulsory subjects in class
XI standard that will be considered as eligibility criteria provided that the
marks obtained in the XI th standard examination are reflected in the final
mark sheet issued by the Board/ Council and 55% marks are calculated in
aggregated taking marks in both the classes into consideration for the general
science stream courses. Marks secured in class XII only in the present system
and marks scored in classes XI and XII combined in the earlier system will be
taken into consideration. The moot point is that the marks will be based on the
recognized mark sheet issued by the concerned Board/Council.
(b) The Examination will be conducted
in two tiers as indicated below :-
I) Tier – I :- Weight age of marks based on Higher
Secondary or Equivalent Examination Marks & Computer Proficiency test based
on MS-Office, Internet, Android mobile phone uses.
II) Tier – II :- Viva-Voice will be based on knowledge
of MGNREGS, appearance and attitude, Mathematical Ability, General Knowledge,
Current Affairs, previous work experience & local geographical knowledge.
Total marks distribution in the recruitment process is as
follows :-
Marks distribution based on academics, i.e., HS or
equivalent examination :- 20 Marks distribution based on Computer proficiency
test :- 50
Marks distribution based on Viva Voice :- 30

Total - 100
(c) Final Merit List will be prepared as per weight age of
marks obtained in HS or equivalent exam, marks obtained in Computer Proficiency
Test and Viva Voice.
N.B. :-
1. "If a candidate scores 75% in HS or equivalent
examination then the candidate will get "20 X 75% = 15" marks in the
academic section".
2. After scrutinizing the applications, the candidates will
be called for the Computer proficiency test (Tier - I).
3. Only Successful Candidates on the basis of marks
obtained in Tier - I will be called for the Viva Voice (Tier - II) in 1:15
ratio.
4. Examination dates as well as admit cards will be
communicated later at candidates' email-ID or the candidates may follow up the
link - https://www.malda.gov.in/recruitments
for further time to time details and updates.
9. Last date of Application :- 27th January 2021 up to 05.00 P.M.
10. Terms and conditions :-
a) Candidates must have fulfilled all the eligibility
criteria for the post of Gram Rojgar Sevak.
b) The incomplete and obscure application will be rejected.
c) After the last date & time of application, no
application will be received either by post or by hand in the drop box.
d) The selected candidate will be engaged after
verification of all the original testimonials.
e) The contract will be for 01(one) year. The contract may he renewed after viewing
satisfactory performance.
f) The Programme Officer, MGNREGS & Block Development
Officer, Ratua - II reserves all right to change/modify/rectify any or entire
schedule/criteria or cancel this notification of recruitment process at any
stage or time without assigning any reasons thereof.
g) The engagement may also be terminated by the appropriate
authority for unsatisfactory service, misconduct, etc. of the incumbent
concerned.
h) Others Terms and Conditions for the said post will apply
as per Government rules and regulations.
