Online applications are invited with effect from 01.12.2020 (from 4:00 PM) to 08.12.2020 (up to 4:00 PM) from Indian Nationals having permanent residence in Tripura for selection of candidates for recruitment to the post of "Post Graduate Teacher (For Class XI-XII)" through "Selection Test for Post Graduate Teacher(STPGT) - 2020" under Secondary Education Directorate, Education (School) Department, Government of Tripura. All posts are permanent and period of probation is 2-years. Subject-wise vacancy position is as follows :-

1. Essential Minimum Qualification :- 

 

(a) Post Graduate in relevant subject/ allied subject (equivalency of which to be determined by equivalent committee) with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from NCTE recognized institution.

 

OR

 

(b) Post Graduate in relevant subject/allied subject (equivalency of which to be determined by equivalent committee) with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution { in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course or training ) Regulations, 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.20071.

 

OR

 

(c) Post- Graduate in relevant subject/allied subject (equivalency of which to be determined by equivalent committee) with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and B.A. Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. from any NCTE recognized institution.

 

N.B. :- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks will be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST /PH category.

 

2.  Age :-

 

Up to 40 years as on 27.11.2020. Upper age limit is relax able by 5 years for SC/ST/PI-1 and Government Servant provided that government employees belonging to SC/ST/PH category shall not get relaxation over and above general relaxation of 5 years available to them. Upper age limit is also relax able for Ex-Serviceman (ESM) as per norms.

 

N.B. :-

 

(i) 1(one) year age relaxation will be allowed due to COViD-19 for all category candidate as per memo of GA(P&T) dated 15.07.2020.

 

(ii) Permissible age relaxation will be applicable for candidates from discharged ad-hoc 10,323 teachers as per memo of GA(P&T) dated 05.11.2020. (Candidates belonging to this category must click yes in the relevant point of online application to get the benefit)

 

3. Pay :-

 

Rs. 26,015/- (revised) fixed per month being 75 % of basic pay (Level-10) of Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018.

Candidates are instructed to note the subject and category-wise vacant posts and to apply online accordingly. If a candidate applies for a subject where there is no vacant post her/ his candidature will be cancelled at any stage without further notification and fee deposited will not be returned.

 

5. Scrutiny of Documents :-

 

Number of Candidates invited for scrutiny of documents will be more than the actual number of posts requisitioned by concerned department. Invitation for scrutiny of documents will be done from amongst the candidate who obtains at least minimum mark which is 50% (75 out of 150) for unreserved category candidate and 45% (68 out of 150) for SC/ST/PH category candidates. Candidates who remain absent on the scheduled date of scrutiny of documents, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected without further notification. Candidates must have Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC). So, all candidates invited for certificate verification may not be recommended for recruitment as the recommendation will be based on the actual number of vacant posts. Mark obtained in the test will be the only criteria for preparation of merit list. No candidate will be recommended for recruitment who obtains below cut off mark. Securing minimum mark (75 or 68 as applicable) or more marks and inviting a candidate for scrutiny of documents will not entitle him/her any right for selection to the post for recruitment. At the time of scrutiny of documents a candidate must bring original copies of all mark sheets of academic and professional qualification, certificates (if any) of academic and professional qualification, PRTC, Admit card of matriculation as proof of age, Caste certificate (if any), PH certificate (if any), Certificate of Ex-Serviceman (if any) and "Application Acknowledgement" of online application, Admit card of STPGT along with two sets of self attested photocopies of all these documents. Candidates are required to produce one photo bearing identity card in original like, AADHAAR Card / PAN Card I Passport / Driving License/ Bank Pass Book / EPIC (Voter ID Card) at the time of certificate verification.

 

6. Examination Fee :-

 

The test fees for UR category applicant is Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) and for reserved category (SC/ST/PH) applicant is Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only). Fees once deposited will not be refunded or adjusted for any other test in future. Candidates are to deposit test fees online (using debit or credit card & internet banking only). No other mode of payment will be accepted. Bank charges may apply. Candidature of a candidate will be rejected without further notification if TRBT does not receive the fee for whatsoever reason. In case a candidate pays less than the actual amount of fees due to selection of wrong category or otherwise, her/his candidature will be treated as cancelled even if she/he qualifies for recommendation.
